Aston Martin V12 Zagato takes the Design Award at the Concorso d’Eleganza

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato made its world premiere at the Concorso d’Eleganza where it received the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes. Those who visited this prestigious international event on the shores of Lake Como, Italy, were asked to vote for the best concept and prototype. The V12 Zagato was presented as a modern interpretation of the Aston Martin and Zagato collaboration during the 50th anniversary year of the DB4GT Zagato

. There were 10 entries from various countries and the Aston Martin V12 Zagato got the award as the best in class. According to Dr Ulrich Bez, the CEO of Aston Martin, the V12 Zagato adds “another successful chapter” to the brand. Marek Reichman, Design Director of Aston Martin, stated that this award proves the success of Aston Martin at developing its own “renowned design language” in recent years. He added that this car “incorporates the core values of the Zagato design language” that was “perfectly translated into Aston Martin’s modern design DNA.”

Dr Bez: “Nürburgring is where we sign-off every new model in terms of dynamics, and there can be no better place for the new V12 Zagato to be finally tested. The 24 hour race is the ultimate road test and a fitting introduction for the V12 Zagato”. [via - 4wheelsnews]
