As you may know already, 4WheelsNews announced back in March that the brand new Audi Q3 will be officially unveiled at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show. In order to sustain our sayings, Audi revealed today the first sketches with the brand new Q3 crossover… and what do you know, the car looks just like a smaller Q5.The new Audi Q3 is expected to receive the same engines found on the Volkswagen Tiguan, such as the 2.0-liter TFSI delivering 210 hp, but also the popular and fuel-efficient 2.0-liter diesel engine.
The production of the Audi Q3 will start in Spain, at the Seat plant in Martorell, a town near Barcelona, in Catalonia.
What is really more interesting is that the new car will create 700 new jobs at the Martorell plant and parent company Volkswagen wants to invest almost 300 million euros ($425 million) in order to build 100,000 Q3 vehicles per year. The new car is expected to be unveiled on April 19, but we do expect some specs and photos earlier. Stay tuned and make sure you check our website for new info! [via - 4wheelsnews]
