Bmw 328 Hommage: a tribute to the 75th anniversary of a legend

For those who don’t know, the Bmw 328 is considered one of the most successful and best-looking sports car of the 1930s and in order to celebrate the car’s 75th birthday the Bavarian manufacturer introduced the Bmw 328 Hommage, a concept car that pays tribute to the iconic vehicle. A you can see from the photos, the Bmw 328 Hommage has no doors and features an impressive design which will not be seen on a production vehicle as the vehicle is and will remain only a concept.

The first visual impact with the car shows the double kidney grille which imitates the slim, vertical kidney design of the early BMW models. The iconic Bmw 328 was one of the first vehicle from the Bavarian manufacturer to feature it. The rear end of the car features L shape taillights which underline the technical appeal of the vehicle. Regarding the engine, Bmw mentions that the 328 Hommage is powered by its popular 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine.

“Viewed from above, a slightly asymmetrical design of the bonnet and windscreen underscores the driver-orientated construction of the BMW 328 Hommage. The windscreen is larger within the driver's area, so the lines of the powerdome are of different length. Behind the windscreen they continue in the inside of the car, so that at this point both the interior and the exterior appear to be intertwined.” said the press release. [via - 4wheelsnews]
